With a new focus on mobile phone users, Google has launched a six second video preview. Whenever a query demands a video, the search shows a six second preview to enable you determine the video you are looking for.

This will work for a majority of videos on the web, not restricted to Youtube. It’s worth noting that these previews do not feature any ads and by default, they will only play when you are using a WiFi connection. If you want, you can enable video previews on mobile networks, too, or even completely opt out of them in the settings for both the Google app and Google Chrome for Android.

Google employed machine learning in enabling this feature,it picks the best scenes that best represent a video and comes up with the six second preview.

I personally like it because it saves times, data and money from going through countless videos.
