Facebook will hide links to slow websites

Facebook in recent years has been combating fake news on their platform. In this light, they have absolute control over what you see on your news feed.

They are currently upping their game by tweaking their already weird algorithm to favour websites that load faster.

This was announced in in a blog post  yesterday. Facebook says “Factors such as the person’s current network connection and the general speed of the corresponding webpage will be considered. If signals indicate the webpage will load quickly, the link to that webpage might appear higher in your feed.”
