Hey you! Take a moment to soak in how technology has been on the rise in recent years in Africa. Do you realize that Innovation has been the talk of the town? Good!

Just last week, Google CEO, Sundar Pichai visited Nigeria and will be including African Startups in their Launch Accelerator programme. The training will be held twice a year and will be ran within a new Google Launchpad Space in Lagos.

This and so many other opportunities abound on the continent. A typical one is the Africa Mobile & ICT 2017 [MOBEX17].

After its official launch in 2015, the event has been on the bucket list of every tech enthusiast and budding entrepreneur. The event satisfies those who are interested in building their capacity with current market trends. If you are a 9am to 5pm worker, you may need this event to impress your boss. In simple terms, it is a must attend for everyone!

The 3-day event features a conference which has a powerful speaker base of exciting and thoughtful technocrats as well as critical thinkers across diverse fields. Selected keynote speakers will further inspire participants to think within perspective yet outside the box.

Also, there will be a lounge dedicated to apps. Yes mobile apps! Dear local app inventors, this is your opportunity to shine! This event will afford you the opportunity to show your apps to an even wider audience. For those of us spectators, it is a once in a life time opportunity to see game changing inventions, app-wise.

Wait, the goodies doesn’t end there. There’s literally a huge hall dedicated to companies and individuals in the technology industry. Last year’s event featured e-services, waterproof smartphone and even wooden robots. Words won’t permit me to describe every single wonderful innovation. So here’s what we will do.

The event holds from the 21st to 23rd of August 2017 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
