The iPhone 8 back glass is more expensive to fix than the screen

Do not crack your iPhone 8

Apple has just made it more expensive to fix your faulty iPhone 8, the most obvious change in the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus’ is the switch to a glossy, glass back. There was a chance this glass would be priced at or around the same price as a cracked screen under AppleCare+, but that’s apparently not the case: AppleInsider has confirmed that a broken back would likely qualify for  “other damage” fee of GHS 440.00, tax charges may be added.

Apple gives users two screen replacements and two miscellaneous damage incidents at the GHS 130.00 and GHS 440  price respectively. After that point, the damage price jumps to GHS 1550.00 for the iPhone 8, and GHS 1770.00 for the iPhone 8 Plus. So basically, don’t crack your phone’s glass, I repeat do not crack your iPhone 8, else you’re going to be pouring out lots of cash.

Pricing for the iPhone X’s repairs are yet to be released as we are expecting the phone to be up sale in November. Apple company hasn’t said how much it’ll charge for a screen replacement or broken glass. We can probably assume a new screen will cost more than GHS 300.00 , as the screen is already supposed to be somewhat limited in supply. Cherish the original screen or pay up.
